I really miss blogging.
Writing and ranting about anything and everything that happens on everyone or anyone who has impact on me.
And I want to share all my stories.
I didn't know what happened on my past months because I didn't write about it. hmm.

Kerygma Conference 2012 - Champion Arise!

My first time to attend Kerygma Conference! And I just want to share my experience in this event. :)


By the way, Kerygma Conference is an annual gathering of Catholics and Christians held in Manila and other major cities in the Philippines where participants get refreshed through Holy Mass, energetic worship, inspiring talks led by Bro. Bo Sanchez, engaging entertainment numbers and fun fellowship with brothers and sisters.

This 2012 Kerygma Conference was entitled Champion Arise.
Dated November 24, and 25, (Saturday and Sunday) at SM MOA Arena & SMX.

There are lots of streams you can choose in this event but you can choose only one per day.

Different streams you can choose from Day 1 and Day 2.

On Day 1, I chose Education Stream. And on Day 2, I chose Youth Stream.

Actually I chose Education Stream on Day 1 because of my two brothers 'cause they were still studying and I think that it's the best stream for them, (because this was also their first time to attend KCON and they're just starting to attend Feast's because of my invitation. haha :D) so I accompany them.

By the way, before and after the streams, there is opening ceremony and Grand Feast. So the schedule of activities is this:

The opening ceremony was held at SM MOA Arena.
It's my first time there! SM MOA Arena was BIG, really big for many audiences. That's the reason why many international artists concerts was held there.
And when I look around the arena that day, wow, up to the last upper seats were occupied!
And according to my friends, there were 19,000 people attended this event! WOW! There are lot of people addicted to God! Haha.

• The UN pep squad performs on the opening ceremony.

Do you know that there is an Emergency Text Service on TM?

Nasa SM Manila kasi ako noon, inaantay ang Kuya ko, magkikita kami para umattend ng Feast sa SM Manila, Cinema 4 (by the way, ang Feast ay isang spiritual community and my spiritual family for me), at nagkataong naubos ang load ko ng di ko namamalayan. Touch Mobile (TM) user pala ako. At biglang naalala ko na may nabasa ako nung message sa  TM na kung naubusan ng load I can borrow load from them, but I forget how to do it. So I checked the TM message.
At ayun, just send GTSOS to 3733.
You will get 3 texts TM/Globe valid for 1 day + P1 load.
And the next time you will load ibabawas na lang ang P4 sa load mo.

Little Things in Life

Whenever I visit this...my blog, I feel like home. I find peace. Aaaaah.
I love the background.
I love the header.
I love the background music.
I love the combination of all.

So, there's just one thing I want to say, appreciate every little things in your life.
I know I'm kinda mababaw in this aspect. But this things made me smile today.
And I'm thankful for this.

Well, I just make some changes again. hehe.

Another Again and Again and Again

I'm here again for another blog site again.

It's difficult to have your url you want on blogger or blogspot site. All of those in your mind had already get by another blogger on the internet. So everytime that happens I'm thinking for another url again, again, again, again, or any alternative word or anything that could mash up with the past url that I think and so, this is what comes up.

2 Months Training at Asia Pacific College

First of all, thanks to IBM and TESDA for sponsoring our training at Asia Pacific College as COBOL programmer trainees.

Our training in COBOL includes:

Structured COBOL Programming with PLF,

CICS for COBOL,

DB2 for COBOL

and Job Control Language Fundamentals.

I learned a lot. But I know, there's so much more need to be learn in COBOL. This is just the beginning. Again, thanks to APC, IBM and TESDA for giving me this opportunity to train in COBOL programming. Now I know what programming language I should focus on. Hope to work on IBM as COBOL programmer soon.

F.I.S.H in a More Meaningful Way

F-I-S-H stands for:

F - Fast not just from food, but also from things that you enjoy, like hours of surfing the Internet, watching movies, and so on.

I - Influence others to do acts of charity and kindness.

S - Spend time in prayer. Stay still with Jesus.

H - Have a firm resolve to improve yourself by letting go of things that keep you away from God.

Well, I just remember something, because of my today's application in Accenture, one of the best leading IT and outsourcing company here in Philippines, I just have thought that though there were lot of applicants there like what I've experienced earlier, you should give your best shot to stand out!

You should not blend, but be the one that will shine! :))

Well actually I don't know yet what is the result of my exam and interview in my today's application in Accenture but I am happy for my assessment in exam and performance in the interview. Because the fact that I got interviewed, I think I passed the exam! And I want to share with you that in the past interviews that I had, ugh, like my application for interternship, is not a kind of me now. I have grown a lot! :)

I am more confident now in answering questions that the HR ask me.

I want to thank the different leadership training's I attended under Bo Sanchez, the Light of Jesus Family and The Feast Manila seminars and workshops. :) It really helped me a lot. It really changed me for the best! :)

And I also want to share with you my some tips before applying in any company you want.

• Be prepared. Research on the background of the company and also the position that you are applying for.
• Be confident. Just relax and be yourself. Show to your interviewer that you have the guts and what all it takes!
• Be excited. Show that you are interested in the position you are applying for.

Don't just blend, STAND OUT!

Tomato Company

While surfing the internet, I found this.
Just want to share.
Try to read. :)

An unemployed man is desperate to support his family of a wife and three kids. He applies for a janitor's job at a large firm and easily passes an aptitude test. 

The human resources manager tells him: "You will be hired at minimum wage of $5.35 an hour. Let me have your e-mail address so that we can get you in the loop. Our system will automatically e-mail you all the forms and advise you when to start and where to report on your first day." 

Taken back, the man protests that he is poor and has neither a computer nor an e-mail address. 

To this the manager replies: "You must understand that to a company like ours that means that you virtually do not exist. Without an e-mail address you can hardly expect to be employed by a high-tech firm. Good day." 

Stunned, the man leaves. Not knowing where to turn and having $10 in his wallet, he walks past a farmers' market and sees a stand selling 25 lb. crates of beautiful red tomatoes. He buys a crate, carries it to a busy corner and displays the tomatoes. In less than 2 hours he sells all the tomatoes and makes 100% profit. Repeating the process several times more that day, he ends up with almost $100 and arrives home that night with several bags of groceries for his family. 

During the night he decides to repeat the tomato business the next day. By the end of the week he is getting up early every day and working into the night. He multiplies his profits quickly. 

Early in the second week he acquires a cart to transport several boxes of tomatoes at a time, but before a month is up he sells the cart to buy a broken-down pickup truck. 
At the end of a year he owns three old trucks. His two sons have left their neighborhood gangs to help him with the tomato business, his wife is buying the tomatoes, and his daughter is taking night courses at the community college so she can keep books for him. 

By the end of the second year he has a dozen very nice used trucks and employs fifteen previously unemployed people, all selling tomatoes. He continues to work hard. 

Time passes and at the end of the fifth year he owns a fleet of nice trucks and a warehouse that his wife supervises, plus two tomato farms that the boys manage. The tomato company's payroll has put hundreds of homeless and jobless people to work. His daughter reports that the business grossed over one million dollars. 

Planning for the future, he decides to buy some life insurance. 
Consulting with an insurance adviser, he picks an insurance plan to fit his new circumstances. Then the adviser asks him for his e-mail. 

When the man replies that he doesn't have time to mess with a computer and has no e-mail address, the insurance man is stunned: "What, you don't have e-mail? No computer? No Internet? Just think where you would be today if you'd had all of that five years ago!" 

"Ha!" snorts the man. "If I'd had e-mail five years ago I would be sweeping floors at Microsoft and making $5.35 an hour." Which brings us to the moral of the story: 

Since you got this story by e-mail, you're probably closer to being a janitor than a millionaire. 
Sadly, I received it also. . 

LATIN MASS at Ateneo de Manila University

We, the aktiFEASTas (that's what we called to the Campus Feasters at PUP), decided to go to the Ateneo de Manila University to experience Latin mass!

It's our first time to be there! :)

It was really solemn. Feels like you're a part of nature and the presence of the Lord is in you. :)

The mass were in Latin but thanks for a photo given to us that has a Latin form and English translation form of the whole happening in the mass that we got to follow.

Most of the Latin prayers were prayed by the priest.  The choir sung Latin songs, I got mesmerized.

When you close your eyes, you got a totally different feeling. :)

Try to attend.

It's a great experience indeed.

Who Are Your Other Inspirations in Life? Who or What Motivates you in Living?

Of course, other, means aside from our Savior, Family and Friends.

So you are not safe, who's your crush or loved one? xD

But actually, this not only pertaining on a person.

If you will ask me, who are my other inspirations in life, who or what motivates me in my living, except God, Family and friends? This will be my answers.

• My very first godchild.
       If you will see my godchild, the stress on you will all be diminish. It feels like you see an angel. And all you want to do is to baby sit him. hehe. I miss my godchild. Every time I see him, he puts smile on my face. :)

• The stars in the sky.
       Aaah. When I look at the sky and there are stars in the sky, it relaxes me, gives me peace. I miss to be on Bulacan, because our place in Bulacan was like a jungle, haha, you would feel the nature and the sight seeing of the stars is awesome.
       I want to experience seeing stars like this
  
• The color purple.
       Every time I see the color purple, I smiled.

haha! It's been years since I last go to Star City and I really enjoyed this time to be there. haha!I had so many 1st time experiences again.  - First time to ride star flyer- First time to ride the bump car- First time to try wall climbing - First time to try the basketball there (the very high one)  The shallowness in me   but I want to be mababaw kasi nakikita ko yung pinakasimpleng bagay bilang aking kasiyahan. 
And this day, I found out in myself that- I'm an adventurous type. haha. I want adventures. I want the things that are thrilling.          Like riding at star flyer. Thrilling and exciting. Haha. But I want mooooore! I remember going at Enchanted when the time were about to ride space shuttle, got dismayed because when our time comes, Space Shuttle temporarily closed. Argh. I want to experience that.          Adventures. When I tried wall climbing at Star city, I think of experiencing rock climbing and the likes in real life.
- Sporty type.         Basketball. Haha! I want to experience playing in the real game. 
So in conclusion, I'm a desperate one! haha! Kidding.Just love new experiences because I discover some things. Some things in myself, in the world and I want to treasure it because this is my journey of course, and this make me what I am and who I am today.
